Overview

A rooftop package unit puts compressor, condenser, evaporator and supply fan into one curb-mounted cabinet, so there is no indoor unit, no interconnecting line set and no indoor plant space. Air supply and return are on the same side of the cabinet, which simplifies ducting and service. Typical projects are single-storey commercial buildings with a roof curb — retail, office, restaurant, light industrial — and rooftop replacements where a unit comes off the curb and a new one goes back on.
